All our vacancies are advertised on our Job Board as and when the business need arises. We encourage applicants to check our website weekly for current jobs. All applications are managed through our online recruitment system.
Our recruitment process has been designed to generate fairness and consistency. We will shortlist based on the Person Specification within the Job Description and successful candidates will be invited to attend a competency-based interview, along with other activities which might include a group exercise, presentation and 'in-tray' exercises. All of these activities are designed to assess your competence for the role and give you a good understanding of what the job will entail should you be successful.
We do not accept CVs. All applications must be made by application form through our online recruitment system.
How often do you update your website?
Our Job Board is updated regularly as and when vacancies arise, on average weekly.
How do I apply for a vacancy or complete an application?
Visit our Job Board, and select the vacancy you wish to apply for. This will bring up the advert and job details. You will need to register on our website before you can complete an online application.
Can I send you my CV for you to keep on file?
Regrettably we do not accept speculative CVs. All applications must be submitted through the online application form.

Can I apply for more than one job at a time?
Yes. However if you do get shortlisted, advise your interviewer that you have also applied for another role within the organisation, since each vacancy is managed separately by the relevant manager.
I have applied for a vacancy and not heard anything, will I hear about the status of my application?
All applicants will be contacted by email regarding the status of their applications, successful or not, once the advertisement has closed and shortlisting has been completed by the recruiting manager.
Will you be taking up employment references?
Yes. We require details of three professional referees which cover at least the last five years of your employment, one of whom must be your present or last employer.
Please note that open references or references from relatives or people writing solely in the capacity of friends will not be accepted. If this is your first job since leaving full time education, your head-teacher or further education tutor should be given as a referee. As part of our safer recruitment process for roles working directly with children and/or vulnerable adults we will seek references prior to interview.
Will I have to have a Disclosure check?
Due to the nature of some of our roles, you may be required to undergo a Disclosure check. This is stated on the Job Description of the role which you are applying for.
Do you offer work experience placements?
Some locations are able to offer work placements, however, we receive many enquiries for work experience placements and regrettably we can only take on a very limited number.
I would like to work for you but there are no suitable jobs in my area, what can I do?

When do you recruit Trainees?
We do not have a structured annual intake of Trainees as we only advertise when the business need arises, this means the locations of the vacancies will vary across the UK. You will need to monitor the Job Board for details of these vacancies.
How do I become a Guide Dog Trainer?
If you do not have a recognised qualification you will need to apply for our trainee scheme, which includes on the job training. Our Job Board is updated regularly as and when vacancies arise, on average weekly therefore please keep an eye on our website.
