Meet the Corporate Team
A large, complex organisation like Guide Dogs needs to be led by people with experience, skill and vision. Individually all members of Guide Dogs’ Corporate Team bring a very high level of expertise to their roles. Together, they ensure the Association runs smoothly, working together to deliver the strategy and provide high quality services to blind and partially sighted people across the UK.

Richard Leaman, Chief Executive
Richard became Guide Dogs’ Chief Executive in April 2010. He has previously worked in the Royal Navy and left as a Rear Admiral, most recently working as Deputy Chief of Staff in a NATO strategic headquarters in America. He was awarded an OBE in 1994 for disaster relief services after Hurricane Andrew and was recently appointed a Companion of the Order of the Bath for his leadership whilst developing and implementing NATO's new maritime strategy.

Jenny Cook, Director of Planning and Performance Improvement
Jenny joined Guide Dogs in February 2006, having previously been an officer in military intelligence and head of the Strategic Planning and Performance Unit at the Home Office’s Central Police Training and Development Agency.

Jane Coope, Director of Human Resources and Diversity
Jane has over 20 years experience in Human Resources, latterly as Head of HR at the National Trust. Jane joined Guide Dogs at the end of January 2008 and has lead responsibility for staffing and volunteering.

Stephen Kirk, Director of Operations
Stephen joined Guide Dogs in May 2000, following a successful career in retail and manufacturing with companies ranging from Courtaulds to Somerfield.

Tom Pey, Director of External Affairs
Irishman Tom has been working for Guide Dogs for nine years. As a guide dog owner and former investment banker, he brings vital insight and experience to the work of the Corporate Team and to Guide Dogs as a whole.

Jayne George, Director of Fundraising
Having been the Head of Fundraising at the RNLI for the previous eight years Jayne joined Guide Dogs in December 2007.

Tim Lowth, Director of Finance
Tim joined Guide Dogs in August 2009. Previously he has worked in the accounting profession and the waste management sector. Prior to joining Guide Dogs he was Finance Director of Biffa Plc, one of the UK’s largest waste management groups.
He has been a trustee of one of the UK’s network of Wildlife Trusts for a number of years. Within Guide Dogs Tim is responsible for Finance, Procurement, Information Systems and Property.
