Strategy 2010 - 2020
Building Extraordinary Partnerships
For every blind and partially sighted person, achieving mobility is a journey that is personal and unique. Our Strategy 2010 – 2020 is a long term plan for providing help that reflects the true needs of each individual – from dealing with initial diagnosis and potential emotional trauma, through to finding the right mix of mobility and vision support services for different circumstances.

The strategy is built on research conducted with thousands of blind and partially sighted people. And it embodies the vision, purpose and values that guide everything we do...
- Our vision is for a society in which blind and partially sighted people enjoy the same freedom of movement as everyone else.
- Our purpose is to deliver the guide dog service and other mobility services; to break down legal and physical barriers; and to enable blind and partially-sighted people to get around on their own.
- Our values mean that we will always seek to be trustworthy and transparent; that we will always be innovative and responsive; and that we will collaborate with others wherever that is to the benefit of blind and partially-sighted people.
