International Collaborations

All Breeding programmes must bring in fresh NBC German Shepherd pair of puppiesbloodlines to ensure that genetic diversity is maintained within the colony and to this end, we continue to work with and source occasional pups from outside breeders in this country.

However we also now use other Guide Dog schools all over the world as a further and more successful source of supply, through mutually beneficial and reciprocal exchanges of bloodlines. This may be in the form of livestock or frozen semen. We currently have or have had exchange agreements with schools in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Holland, Ireland and Spain to name but a few


Fact!

Guide Dogs has bred puppies in Bishops Tachbrook from Tollgate House since 1968.
