Build a bright future with Guide Dogs
Introduction
Thank you for your interest in Guide Dogs, one of the UK’s best-loved charities.
We are now one year into our exciting and challenging ten year Building Extraordinary Partnerships strategy, which aims to provide support for blind and partially sighted people on every step of their mobility journey.
Our research into the needs of blind and partially sighted children, young people and their families, as well as the needs of adults who have experienced sight loss, shows that they don't receive the support they require to get out and about on their own terms. Around 180,000 blind and partially sighted adults find it hard to leave home alone. People who do not get out and about cannot get to college, to work, do their shopping or lead an active social life. We want to help blind and partially sighted people of all ages to get about and live a full life. We are doing this by providing more guide dogs and other mobility services. We can only do this through developing strong partnerships across the sector.
We work as one team at Guide Dogs, so whichever role you play you will be pivotal to realising our ambitions. We believe everyone who works for us, including our 10,000 volunteers, has a part to play in providing high quality services, being a high profile part of the community, raising funds to support our aims, campaigning for better accessibility and making the best use of every pound donated.
If you believe you bring the skills and experience to help us to achieve our vision and a clear empathy with the pressures and challenges faced by blind and partially sighted people, then we look forward to hearing from you.
