Who we are

We employ more than 1,000 staff around the United Kingdom. Many of our staff are involved in delivering services directly to clients, for example Guide Dog Mobility Instructors and Mobility Instructors, who are part of our 20 Mobility Teams around the UK. Central office is located at Burghfield Common, Reading. We also have staff working at four Dog Training Schools, a Workshop and our National Breeding Centre.

We rely on and greatly value the support and dedication of more than 10,000 volunteers. Without them we are nothing. Some of these volunteers are directly involved in looking after the guide dogs - performing critical roles such as walking puppies, boarding trainee guide dogs and breeding stock. Others take part in equally important support roles such as fundraising, working in local branches, campaigning or transporting dogs and equipment.
