The friend in need - Paul and Yancy
Paul and his partner Nikki were heading into town one evening. At a pedestrian crossing, Nikki stepped out but Yancy held Paul back. Seconds later Nikki was hit by a car and hurled 30 feet down the road. Paul feared the worst, but despite the panic all around, Yancy led him straight to Nikki and helped both of them stay calm while they waited for help to arrive. Nikki said: “If Paul hadn’t had Yancy he would have relied on my judgement and would have crossed with me. They waited for the ambulance and then she led him to find our friends across a very busy town centre. They both must have been in a state of shock, but she led him without any distraction.”
