With 2016 in full swing, the Dogs Unite Team are looking forward to the new and exciting events on the horizon - but we need your help! We’re calling on Dogs Unite supporters from across the UK to take their fundraising journey that one step further by organising their own Dogs Unite event.

The prospect of organising a fundraising event can be daunting, but the Dogs Unite Team are here to help you every step of the way! Here are our three top tips to remember when you’re thinking of hosting a Dogs Unite event.

1)   Think about the type of event you want to hold

Whether you want your event to be a small affair for just you and a few of your friends, or whether you want to make it an open event for your local community; the Dogs Unite team are here to support you throughout your journey. We have free materials and tools for events of all sizes, so you don’t have to spend any money!

2)   Location, location, location!

Is there the perfect trail near you? Do you know the best dog walking route in the UK? Is your local dog park the place to be? From aquadromes to your local green, find the location that best suits you. Keep it close and you can even get local businesses involved! This is a fantastic opportunity to get to know your resident canine community.

The Dogs Unite team are here to help you from the beginning of your fundraising journey, and really want this to be an enjoyable experience! As well as the downloadable organiser resources, we’ll send you a bespoke organisers pack to help you plan and prepare, and then a box of goodies to use on the day. As well as that we’re available by phone and email to answer any questions that you might have, so don’t be shy! We’d love to hear how your planning is coming along.
