Global Dogs Unite: one month to go!

Across the UK, hundreds of you have already signed up to take part in Global Dogs Unite on Sunday 23 April, and are working hard on your fundraising! A huge thank you from all of us to all of you for making a difference with your dog walk.

Meet Ann and Boots
One of our lovely Global supporters is Ann, and her six-year-old Springer / Ann BootsChocolate Labrador cross, Boots - here's what they had to say about taking part.

"I signed up for Global Dogs Unite and to fundraise for Guide Dogs because I think it's a brilliant way of raising funds for such a worthy cause.  I would be walking my dog anyway so to be able to help others at the same time was a no brainer.

I will be walking in South London with my dog Boots - he is 6 and is a Springer/Chocolate lab cross. I'm not sure how far we'll be going because Boots had operations on all his legs as a puppy so when he gets tired we'll stop. He tells me he is really looking forward to the walk as this is the first time we've taken part in any Dogs Unite events.

To try and raise more funds I have obviously emailed all my friends and contacts and talked to them about the walk when I have seen them.  People have been really generous so a big thank you to my supporters.  My tip to people taking part in the campaign is spread the news as far as you can.

Good luck to all dogs and walkers taking part.  With best wishes from me and woofs from Boots."

There’s still time!
If you haven’t already signed up, there’s still time for you and your friends to get involved – however far you walk and however much you raise, you and your dog will help give someone with sight loss a new life by taking part.
