Walking the Dog Day is here!
Welcome to 2017
For many, a new year means New Year’s resolutions: the holiday indulging is over and the start of the year is often used to turn over a new leaf. Some of the most popular New Year’s resolutions are all about “doing better”: getting fitter, doing more of what we enjoy, spending money more sensibly. It’s easy to set them, but actually making resolutions happen is a different matter altogether.
A life-changing resolution
This year, we set a resolution too – and it has everything to do with “doing better”. In the UK today, almost two million people are living with sight loss and of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone. Many suffer from depression and struggle with feelings of isolation – and every single hour, another person in the UK goes blind.
Help make our resolution a reality
You can help us do better. You and your dog have the power to give someone a new life, to create a world where blind people no longer feel invisible. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling your needs and dreams.
Let's do this!
Join our movement and make this the resolution you stick to in 2017:
do a sponsored dog walk for Guide Dogs on Walking the Dog Day, February 22, and raise just £35 to support one of our life-changing guide dog partnerships for a whole week.
