Walking the Dog Day: one month and counting!
There’s just one month left to go until Walking the Dog Day – and we’re so excited! We’ve received some brilliant pictures and stories from you all, and we’ve loved hearing about all the different ways that you’re going to be spending your Walking the Dog Day.
Going the extra mile
One of the best things about Walking the Dog Day is that it’s designed around you: you can do your walk anywhere, any time, and whatever distance you want. From the oldest dog to the scrappiest pup – everyone can get involved.
One family who are going the extra mile for Guide Dogs are the Lee Family. Gemma, her husband Anthony, and their Siberian Husky Kane are going one step further than a walk in their local park; they’re hiking a 10km trail in the Lake District – while on their holiday! They’ve pledged to raise an incredible £150 for their walk: enough to fund a working guide dog partnership for
a whole month. A truly life-changing walk!
There’s still time!
If you haven’t already signed up, there’s still time for you and your friends to get involved – and don’t worry, you don’t have to walk 10K to change a life. The money that you raise on your dog walk will help us fund more life-changing guide dog puppies; it really is as easy as a walk in the park.
