This one-mile open water swim takes place in the picturesque waters of Lake Windermere, situated in the heart of the Lake District.

You can make a splash for Guide Dogs as we have guaranteed entries in this fantastic event.

You can now register and guarantee your place for the 2010 event! A registration fee of £30 will secure your place, and the minimum fundraising target is £150.

If you have already entered the Great North Swim and had your place confirmed, we'd love you to support Guide Dogs by signing up with your own place, and we'll send you a full training and fundraising support pack.

The event is staged by the organisers of the Great Run series, and they are the first mass participation swimming events in the UK and are designed to suit people of all abilities, from competitive participants to fun swimmers.
