Guide Dogs Experience 2009
A great day out at the Guide Dogs Experience!

Over 12,000 people came to The Guide Dogs Experience at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire recently and took a unique journey through the life of a guide dog and what makes extraordinary guide dog partnerships possible.
Blind and partially sighted artists gave visitors the opportunity to experience tactile pieces of their art to show how sculptures, pictures and paintings can be experienced using every sense. Children were entertained all day in the Kids Play Zone, and the crowds also enjoyed free rock climbing, amazing and daring dog displays, and a flypast from a magnificent Douglas C47 Dakota.
Jackie Potter, The Guide Dogs Experience Event Manager said: “This was a great day out for all the family and everyone I spoke to certainly enjoyed themselves! Hopefully people will have gone home knowing more about Guide Dogs and our work, and importantly, that they had lots of fun!”
There are 4,500 guide dogs across the UK, each giving their blind or partially sighted owner life-changing independence and mobility.
