Guide Dogs terms and conditions of use

The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association (registered charity no. 209617) (Guide Dogs) operates a number of websites for it and its subsidiary companies. Guide Dogs or "we" or "us" within the context of these terms and conditions means Guide Dogs and its subsidiaries and "web site" or "site" means any or all of the web sites operated by Guide Dogs.

Please read these terms carefully before using this web site.

1. Using this web site indicates that you accept these terms and conditions which take effect on the date of use of the website. If you do not accept these terms and conditions ("terms"), do not use this web site ("site").

2. Use of site and copyright restrictions We authorises you to view and download the materials at this site only for your personal, non-commercial use, provided that you retain all copyright and other proprietary notices contained in the original materials on any copies of the materials. You may not modify the materials at this site in any way or reproduce or publicly display, perform, or distribute or otherwise use them for any public or commercial purpose. Contributions to our site Where you are able to submit any contribution to our website you agree, by submitting your contribution, to grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licenseable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your contribution worldwide and/or to incorporate your contribution in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your contribution. If you do not want to grant us the rights set out above, please do not submit your contribution to us. By submitting your contribution to us you warrant that your contribution is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available to us for any or all of the purposes specified above. Furthermore, you warrant your contribution is not defamatory, does not infringe any law, you indemnify us against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by us as a result of your breach of the above warranty and waive any moral rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication on our website and the purposes specified above.

Guide Dogs Sponsor a Puppy competition rules

1. If you wish to enter please provide Guide Dogs with the required details.

2. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Entry is only available to persons 16 years and over.

3. Entries must be sent to the correct postal Freepost RRLL-TXTK-ZAUS, Sponsor a Puppy Competition, Guide Dogs Supporter Care, Reading RG7 3YG or electronic address sponsorapuppy@guidedogs.org.uk. Entries submitted by any other method will only be accepted when clearly specified.

4. Unless otherwise stated, Guide Dogs competitions are only open to UK residents.

5. Where a competition asks for some kind of submission (for example a story or piece of artwork) it must be entirely your own work and its originality will be taken into account by the judges. By contributing your work to Guide Dogs you agree to grant us the right to publish and use the material in all media for all purposes in connection with the competition. The winning entries will be shared on the Sponsor a Puppy Facebook page on Friday 14 July 2017.

6. The competition winner(s) will be contacted personally. In the event of there being no reply from the phone number or address supplied Guide Dogs reserves the right to offer the prize(s) to a runner up.

7. Prizes must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred. There will be no cash alternatives.

8. Guide Dogs does not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.

9. Players must comply with all rules to be eligible for the prizes. Ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently will be automatically disqualified.

10. This competition is not open to employees or contractors of Guide Dogs or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organisation or running of the competition, or their direct family members.

11. Guide Dogs decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

12. Guide Dogs reserves the right to cancel the competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.

13. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when entering this competition. Entrants may be asked to take part in post competition publicity.

14. This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

15. This competition is administered by Guide Dogs.

16. The closing date for the competition is Friday 7 July 2017.

Sponsor a Puppy ‘Refer a Friend’ Terms and Conditions

1. Sponsor a Puppy 'Refer a Friend' is open to UK residents who are active sponsors of Guide Dogs - Sponsor a Puppy scheme, and are not an employee (or employee family members) of Guide Dogs.

2. On receipt of completed Refer a Friend form (with valid bank details), the existing SAP sponsor will be sent a gift.

3. The new referred SAP sponsor/recipient will receive standard SAP welcome pack(s) in accordance with usual SAP terms. Existing SAP sponsors should inform their friend that they are due to hear from us.

4. One gift per form returned, regardless of number of puppies sponsored. Supporter name and number must be included on the form to qualify for your gift.

5. SAP sign ups by Refer a Friend form only qualify for a gift. Referred sign ups by phone or online will not qualify.

6. Should the active SAP sponsor wish to sign up for an additional puppy themselves, rather than referring a friend, they will still qualify for free gift. Please contact us on 0800 953 0113 between 9-5pm Monday to Friday.

7. Photocopy forms will not be accepted. All forms to be received by Guide Dogs by Friday 21 July 2017 to qualify for your gift.

8. Refer a friend gifts are subject to availability. Should your gift not be available, an alternative will be provided, or a letter written to the SAP sponsor. Gifts are non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.

9. Refer a friend gifts will be received within 28 working days.

10. Offer valid up to and including Friday 21 July 2017.
