Guide Dogs’ Paw Trek at Longleat returns for 2008!

Hosted in the stunning grounds of the historic Longleat Estate, near Warminster in Wiltshire, thousands of people (with or without their four-legged friends) will aim to raise as much money as they can for Guide Dogs during the two mile sponsored walk.
Sue Davenport, Guide Dogs’ South West fundraising manager explains:
’The Paw Trek is one of Guide Dogs’ biggest events in the South West and every time more and more people join in and have fun on the walk or some of the many other attractions, whilst raising money. Everyone has a great day but is also helping to raise money for Guide Dogs so that we can continue to provide guide dogs to blind and partially sighted people, giving them life-changing freedom and independence.’
As well as the scenic sponsored walk, other attractions will include:
- Opportunities to meet some real guide dogs and trainee puppies
- Dog agility demonstrations
- A blind fold walk display
- Market stalls
- American Indian village
- Children’s entertainment
- Food plus lots, lots more!
Entrance to Longleat grounds is free to all those taking part in the walk, fundraising for Guide Dogs. For further information please visit www.guidedogs.org.uk call Mary McLaughlin (Fundraising Assistant) on: 01926 333426 or email: mary.mclaughlin@guidedogs.org.uk
