Calling all super dogs to unite for International Dog Day

18 Aug 2014

We saw 1,500 dogs in capes at the Olympic Park, but imagine if we could get every dog in the UK to be a hero too – making the ordinary dog walk, extraordinary!

Tuesday 26 August is International Dog Day, and we’re celebrating the life-changing moments that our heroic guide dogs have been a part of creating.

Join our caped crusaders!

My Dogs Unite Walk is our 24/7 Dogs Unite event where you can turn your ordinary dog walk into an extraordinary one! It’s as easy as 1-2-3…

  1. Register you and your pooch online for your ‘My Dogs Unite Walk’ and you’ll receive your hero dog cape in the post.
  2. Get your cape on and head out on your My Dogs Unite Walk at a time that suits you: help raise vital funds and awareness for Guide Dogs.
  3. Share a photo of you and your #myherodog on Facebook or Twitter and nominate your friends to do it too!

We challenge you to raise £25 in sponsorship – enough to buy a white harness, the iconic symbol of a fully qualified guide dog.

Every penny you raise helps create more life-changing moments for those living with sight loss, and we couldn’t do it without you.

So what are you waiting for? Register to do your own Dogs Unite Walk, and help us spread the word – take a photo of you and your #myherodog in their Dogs Unite cape on your walk. Share your photo on Facebook or Twitter, and nominate a friend to register to receive their own super dog cape and do a My Dogs Unite walk too!
