Guide Dogs in a line with there owns

Heart-melting footage of guide dogs – tick. Devoted pups and people working together to help people with sight loss – tick.

A rollercoaster of emotions as the puppies come of age and go to training school – tick.

The brilliant ITV documentary, Me and My Guide Dog, is returning to our screens on Tuesday 9 and 16 June at 8pm. These two new episodes revisit the adorable K-litter of puppies born in the first episode, aired in 2013, and follow them on the next stage of their training.

The two latest hour-long instalments delve into the inspirational work the Guide Dogs charity does to make sure that when someone experiences sight loss they are able to live their lives the way they choose, and feel confident, independent and supported in the world.

Each episode showcases the lives of the extraordinary people who help train the puppies; follows the development of the adorable litter we met in the first episode; and introduces some of the inspiring individuals who achieve lifetime goals with these pups by their side – showing the unique relationship between man and his best friend.

What’s coming up?

  • Episode one: 9 June 2015 at 8pm – the trials and tribulations of puppy training are revealed as the puppies undergo the various stages of specialised training
  • Episode two: 16 June 2015 at 8pm – our mini heroes are into the advanced training process – only the puppies that meet the strict guidelines will graduate from training school and get to meet their new owners. But will all the puppy partnerships prosper?
