Guide Dogs welcomes Good Morning Britain crew

18 May 2015

Guide Dogs' National Breeding Centre in Leamington has today welcomed a film crew from Good Morning Britain.

The crew, including reporter Nick Dixon, were there to meet the first three pups to have been born of the 20 guide dog puppies named by Text Santa viewers back in December. They interviewed breeding centre manager, David Hurst, and met 10-day-old puppies Cocoa, Digger and Pixie for a live report at 7:30am.

If you missed the show, the crew also filmed a similar piece for Good Morning Britain's website.

Guide Dogs was one of six charities to benefit from Text Santa's 2014 appeal, receiving just over £1m. The donation will be used to train 200 puppies to become life-changing guide dogs, helping people with sight loss to live the lives they choose.
