Take on the #EyesShutMakeUp challenge this Student Volunteering Week 2016

22 Feb 2016

The charity Guide Dogs is calling on students everywhere to find out just how fun and easy it can be to volunteer – by taking on the #EyesShutMakeUp challenge! Guide Dogs wants young people to take on the challenge for Student Volunteering Week 2016, which begins today.

The challenge is simple:

  1. Film yourself doing your make-up as quickly as you can with your eyes closed – no sneaky peaking at what products or colours you’re picking up!
  2. Post your video onto social media with #EyesShutMakeUp.
  3. Don’t forget to tag a friend (or two!) to spread the challenge.

The challenge is designed to make young people think about what living with sight loss might be like, and discover just how much fun it can be to volunteer. Every hour, another person in the UK goes blind, and our volunteers help Guide Dogs to be there so when someone loses their sight, they don’t lose their freedom as well.

If you’re a student and you’d like to find out more about volunteering for Guide Dogs, there are plenty of other ways to help us to change the lives of people who are blind or partially sighted.
