Dinner in the Dark
Fine food for people with an appetite for adventure - Southampton’s Dinner in the Dark is set to be an evening not to forget. Guest blogger, Jessica Fitzgerald, Mobility Instructor for Guide Dogs, writes:
On 7 October we’re going to be hosting a Dinner in the Dark Sensory Experience at Southampton Solent University Conference Centre.
The evening will kick off at 7.00pm with a welcome drink and a live band. Then we’ll be taking our guests on a unique journey exploring all their senses. They’ll enjoy a two course dinner, glass of wine, tea or coffee and an evening of fascinating sensory challenges.
We held a similar event last year and it was a great success. Everyone who came had a lot of fun and also learned a little about the day to day experiences of blind and partially sighted people.
Tickets for the evening cost £20 per head, plus sponsorship money of a minimum of £10 – or if possible £80 to celebrate 80 years of Guide Dogs working in the UK. For tickets and further details contact us on:
0845 372 7428 or email southampton@guidedogs.org.uk.
