Ryan and Rebecca

Rebecca and Ryan are fundraising for guide dogs. They left home in September 2010 to cycle 15,000 miles from England to New Zealand.

Ryan and Rebecca on their travels...

Fact!

  • Rebecca and Ryan will be travelling to 23 countries for 18 months, pedalling 15,000 miles in temperatures from -25C in Turkey in the mountains in the east near the border
with Iran to +40C in the Nullabor in Australia.
  • The highest and lowest points of the trip are both in China, +3,000 metres and -155 metres.

My (Ryan's) younger sister, Ella, is visually impaired and received her first guide dog (Wendy) in 2009. Ella and Wendy now do everything together, and having witnessed first hand the difference in independence a guide dog can make we'd like to use this opportunity to help more blind and visually impaired people by raising some money.- Ryan, cycling for Guide Dogs
