Celebrate National Baking Week and ‘Get dunking’ for Guide Dogs

As part of National Baking Week (19 to 25 October), Guide Dogs is encouraging local people to bake their favourite goodies, holding a get together to raise funds to help blind and partially-sighted people.

The charity’s asking: “Are you a digestive dunker or a shortbread nibbler? Does the thought of a cream cake or slice of fruit cake sound appealing? Share your love of biscuits or cake and help raise money for Guide Dogs.”

Beth Marsh, Fundraising Development Manager for Guide Dogs explains: “We want to get the UK smiling again and foster community spirit by encouraging people to involve their friends, family, neighbours and work colleagues to ‘Get together for Guide Dogs’ and celebrate National Baking Week.

“The guide dog service receives no government funding and relies on the generosity of the public to fund its services, so what are you waiting for? Get dunking!”
