Gregg Wallace highlights gifts in Wills at Café de Mort
27 Feb 2013

Masterchef star Gregg Wallace launched a restaurant with a deadly difference last night to boost gifts in Wills to Guide Dogs and other charities.
The Remember a Charity event at Café de Mort in London saw guests tuck in to potentially deadly delicacies from around the world including Pufferfish and Snake Wine. Fortunately the food had been prepared by expert chefs and was completely safe for diners.
Gregg said: “Few people realise that gifts in Wills are vital to many of our favourite charities. We need to get more people thinking about leaving a gift once they’ve looked after their family and friends. Café de Mort is all about getting people to sit up and take notice. Hopefully they’ll still be sitting up by the time they get to their dessert.”
Guide Dogs’ Lauren Stoney, from the gifts in Wills team, said: “Two out of three guide dogs would not exist without gifts in Wills. This fantastic event was a quirky way to draw attention to the importance of having a Will and providing for loved ones in the event of the unpredictable, whilst also highlighting the fact that a gift in your Will to Guide Dogs can really change someone’s life.”
The guide dog service receives no government funding and relies on the generosity of the public. We need your help to train and support more guide dogs to enable blind and partially sighted people to lead an independent life.
Leave a gift in your will to Guide Dogs.
