Guide Dogs launches ‘get dazzling’ to brighten up winter evenings

Guide Dogs has launched ‘get dazzling’ – bright ideas to raise money for the charity during dark, winter evenings – and is encouraging societies, groups and individuals across the UK to get involved.

‘Get dazzling’ is part of Guide Dogs’ new ‘get together’ initiative - making fundraising fun, easy, and rewarding. Every month there’s a new big-idea, and this month is all about bringing a bit of sparkle to fundraising!

Ideas include wearing sequins and sparkles for a glitzy party, and having a dazzling dress-down day at work; as long as it glitters it’s fundraising gold!

Guide Dogs information pack includes ideas, tips for organising events, and downloadable templates for posters and invitations.

The guide dog service receives no government funding and relies on the generosity of the public to fund its services – which is why ‘get dazzling’ will make a real difference to the lives of blind and partially-sighted people.
