Vision UK 2010 Conference

On 15 June RNIB will be hosting A VISION 2020 UK annual conference at the ICC in Birmingham and are inviting members from stakeholders, Health and Social care, Education, Counselling and Voluntary sectors to attend.

The event will celebrate progress in implementing the UK Vision Strategy (UKVS), which aims to achieve a major transformation in the UK’s eye health, eye care and sight loss services.

This one-day event has attracted a number of keynote speakers. Those who have so far been confirmed include: the Rt Hon David Blunkett MP; Prof Jan Keunen (VISION 2020 Netherlands); Lesley-Anne Alexander CEO (RNIB); Nick Astbury, Chair (VISION 2020 UK) and Anita Lightstone, Programme Director (UKVS).

With changes taking place across the UK everyday, the UK Vision Strategy is clearly making a real difference. The conference therefore offers a unique opportunity to share exciting examples of good practice and innovation - and to hear a European perspective.

A new guide 'Ten key points for better eye health and sight loss services' will be unveiled at the conference.

The following fees will apply for the conference:

  • Voluntary sector - £65 (Inc VAT), £55 (Inc VAT) early bird booking
