Help send a puppy to guide dog school

This September, could you prepare a puppy like Oakley for guide dog puppy school?

Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, Oakley will soon be starting his journey to become a guide dog and will be on his way to helping someone with sight loss live the life they choose.

Meet Oakley

Oakley is living at home with his Puppy Raiser and has recently been introduced to his training collar and lead. He’s already ventured out on some exciting walks and excursions on public transport and has started to pick up on vocal cues. When he’s not training, Oakley loves nothing more than playing with his toys and puppy kong as well as chewing on ice and carrots.

Oakley will continue his training in preparation to become a life-changing guide dog like Jaeger, who was partnered with Chris in 2017.

Give someone with sight loss the wonderful confidence and independence a guide dog brings.

Meet guide dog owner Chris

Chris lives with rod and cone dystrophy and noticed something was wrong at a young age when he struggled to see in the dark. Things got progressively worse, and although Chris continued with his career and started a family, life was tough.

Thanks to Jaeger, Chris is no longer isolated. “We are like celebs! People stop to talk when I’m out with Jaeger. It’s nice to have that interaction,” says Chris.

It’s amazing to know how guide dog Jaeger has changed Chris’ life, and that’s down to the incredible generosity of supporters like you. But there are still so many puppies who need to start their training to become guide dogs for people living with sight loss.

By donating today, you could help a puppy like Oakley become a guide dog, like Jaeger.

  • £6 could help support a partnership like Chris and Jaeger’s for one day.
  • £23 could buy a puppy walking lead and collar for a guide dog puppy like Oakley.
  • £52 could buy an entire school bag of puppy-raising essentials containing all the items they’ll need to start their journey.

Jaeger’s given me a more positive outlook. He’s looking after me, so I do the same for him.
