Maintenance Management

All streets and public spaces should be regularly cleaned and maintained.

 

Obstacles that are temporary or not consistent in their use or location, for example advertising A-boards, cafe furniture, and wheelie bins can be a problem for all users, but especially for blind and partially sighted people. Management and enforcement practices should be in place to ensure that all potential obstacles are either positioned in clearly defined areas away from pedestrian routes or removed.
