It was a truly inspiring week. Thank you to everyone who ran, walked, talked, cycled, swam, baked, slimmed, knitted, sewed, sang, danced or organised their way through Guide Dogs Week 2011.

The creativity, enthusiasm and commitment displayed by so many of you has been astounding. With support like this, Guide Dogs is well prepared for at least another 80 years of setting thousands of blind and partially sighted people on the path to freedom.

We had high expectations for Guide Dogs Week this year and you have all done a great job of meeting those. We'll be letting you know how we got on soon - but in the meantime, check out some of the highlights from Guide Dogs Week.

If you took up the challenge to 'Go for 80', don't forget to visit our 'Got to 80?' page for information on how to pay in the money you've raised and how to claim your free certificate.

Whilst Guide Dogs Week is over for this year, we still need your help to transform lives. There are loads of fundraising and volunteering opportunities across the UK to get involved in, so head on over to the Guide Dogs Support Us page and choose your next challenge!

The Exeter team aimed to cycle 80km on a static bike on Saturday 1st October for Guide Dogs Week. The event went extremely well despite the heat and we managed 80 miles instead, helping to raise over £2,000. Go team Exeter!- Jenna - Exeter Fundraising Branch
