Orange - charity partner case study
Thank you!
On behalf of the blind and partially sighted people that Guide Dogs' delivers life transforming services to, we would like to say a massive thank you to all the Orange regions that have chosen to support Guide Dogs' as your community partner for 2009-10.
The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life. Guide Dogs' empowers blind and partially sighted people to do just that and we rely entirely on the support of people like you to fund the guide dog service.
Fundraising
Our local teams look forward to supporting your fundraising, from holding an in-store fun-day to arranging a get-together with your friends and family, no idea is too big or too small! Please see our ideas for fundraising at work 314kb (PDF) for some inspiration or why not sign up for a Get Together with Guide Dogs pack? We will send you a fundraising pack, full of ideas to make your event go with a bang. Not only that, but we can send you seasonal ideas each month to keep the ideas flowing!
If you have any event plans or suggestions of your own, please don't hesitate to contact us at corporates@guidedogs.org.uk and we will be only too pleased to help.
To keep it safe and legal, make sure you check out the Orange Intranet where you will also find other great ideas, fundraising packs, information about how to get your money to us and the volunteering wall.
Events

If you’re looking for a challenge that will leave you feeling a huge sense of achievement and victory, then we really do have the event for you.
Whether you’d like to join our running team, experience the thrill of a tandem skydive, explore your adventurous side on an overseas challenge, saddle up and take to the Alps on your bike for our Le Tour Cycle Challenge, or gather a group together for a fantastic team challenge, there’s nothing stopping you taking up a challenge for Guide Dogs!
Do something amazing; take up the challenge and help Guide Dogs.
The Coniston Challenge is a huge opportunity to team build and take part, taking place in September each year. Six participants make up a team to take on the challenges of the Lake District – hiking, biking and canoeing – only one team can win!
For more information on any of the above – or if you have an idea for an event or challenge you’ve always wanted to set yourself – please contact our experienced events managers on events@guidedogs.org.uk

We still have lots of challenging and rewarding volunteering opportunities waiting for you here at Guide Dogs. Please see our volunteering pages for more information.
Please contact us on nvro@guidedogs.org.uk to let us know where you are and what you are interested in, and we will try our best to match you up!
