Inkjet cartridges

Ink again!

Each year, over 60 million inkjet printer cartridges used at work or at home are needlessly thrown away when they run out of ink.

Recycling them instead helps the environment, safeguards our health and saves energy by:

  • reducing overburdened landfill sites by millions of cubic feet of non-biodegradable material, which takes up to 1,000 years to decompose;
  • avoiding the need to burn rubbish, which can release harmful toxins into the atmosphere;
  • stopping the drain on natural resources - every new cartridge takes up to 6 pints of oil to make.

Now it will also help Guide Dogs. Guide Dogs has teamed up with Environmental Business Products, the world's leading recycler of inkjet cartridges, to launch a new fundraising campaign.

We're appealing to you and everyone you know - friends, families and colleagues - to collect any used inkjet cartridges from offices and homes and send them to us in our FREEPOST envelopes. For every recyclable inkjet cartridge received, Guide dogs will receive a donation of £1.

Cartridges we can collect are: Hewlett-Packard, Lexmark or Canon (not Epson as these cannot be recycled).
