We hope that our ophthalmic research and eye health programmes will result in a progressively lower incidence of blindness in the years to come. For now, however, visual impairment is still a fact of life for many thousands of people and we are campaigning alongside them for rights that most sighted people take for granted.

Talking Buses
Guide Dogs' Talking Buses campaign is calling for the introduction of audio-visual announcements on all buses in the UK.
Shared surface streets
Guide Dogs 'Say NO to Shared Streets' campaign aims to stop the implementation of shared surface streets which pose serious risks to blind and partially sighted people and other vulnerable pedestrians in town and city centres.
