Shrewsbury Mobility Team
The Shrewsbury Mobility team is responsible for Guide Dogs' services in the following areas:
- Black Country
The team has been delivering Guide Dogs' services in these areas for over 10 years. Our current guide dog owner base is 225 partnerships and we continue to see guide dog activities grow. Our geographical base is ideally suited in terms of ease of access and we are located close to good transport links.
We are committed to helping people who are blind or partially sighted lead more independent lives by promoting the most appropriate method of mobility assistance to meet their needs. We are eager to forge links and work collaboratively with others to achieve these aims.
Additionally, we are becoming more active in campaigning locally to promote the rights of people who are blind or partially sighted and we are also increasing our volunteer base to maximise the support we offer and to enable us to raise the funds needed to sustain and expand our services.
If you or someone you know would benefit from our services, or you would like to fundraise and/or volunteer for Guide Dogs, please contact us.
We look forward to hearing from you.
