We offer over 80 different volunteering opportunities and each one plays an important part in our charity. Whether you can spare lots of time, a little time or something in-between, there's a volunteer role for you. Some volunteering opportunities require full time commitment whilst others need no commitment at all - just help us when you can!

Play a vital role in the early socialisation and education of our dogs, providing a loving home as it grows to become a guide dog.

Learn to safely guide someone with sight loss, building their self-confidence and getting them out of their homes.

Assist the local fundraising team in promoting and taking part in a variety of activities to raise money for Guide Dogs.

Provide temporary accommodation for one of our dogs at home.

Provide a home for a brood bitch, taking responsibility for her and supporting her when she is giving birth.

Provide accommodation and care for a stud dog in your home environment.

Provide administrative help for the team, as well as being a key point of contact with staff, volunteers and general public.

Welcome all visitors to the site and provide a helpful reception service to visitors, volunteers and staff.

Look after counting and banking the money raised through group fundraising activities.

Place our iconic boxes locally and tally up the funds before paying them in to Guide Dogs.

Deliver talks to groups, clubs and organisations in your local area to encourage support for Guide Dogs.

Drive our clients, dogs and/or equipment to a variety of locations across the UK.

Come and support our runners in a variety of ways at the UK's biggest events.

Get your friends together to fundraise in aid of Guide Dogs – we'll help you along the way.

Be the key contact for fundraising in your local community to raise money for Guide Dogs.

Will I need a DBS/Enhanced Disclosure?

Some of our roles require an enhanced level disclosure check to be completed (or PVG in Scotland). These checks form part of our safer recruitment practices, and are required for staff or volunteers working with vulnerable groups in certain roles.
