Virtual Tea Party

Terms and conditions 2020


  1. The draw is open to all people aged 16 or over except employees of Guide Dogs who are directly associated with the draw, and their families, or any third party connected with the draw.  Entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. Guide Dogs reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.  

  2. All entries must be submitted as a nomination to the Puppy Zoom Competition pinned post on the Great Guide Dogs Virtual Tea Party Event page between 0900 on 1 July and midnight on 29th July 2020. Entries submitted outside this time will not be considered. 

  3. The prize draw is free to enter with donations to be made only through the official Facebook Donate button on the Event page.  

  4. If your entry includes an image of an identifiable person, by submitting your entry you are confirming you have obtained their consent to post your photograph or video.

  5. By submitting your entry you are agreeing that Guide Dogs will have a non-exclusive licence to keep and use your photograph and/or video as it wishes, including but not limited to use in the Great Guide Dogs Virtual Tea Party, promotional activity and any other Guide Dogs official use.    

  6. Guide Dogs accepts no responsibility or liability for any injuries or damage suffered during filming or photographing of the entries and reserves the right to remove any images that are deemed inappropriate or appear to compromise the welfare of any animal.

  7. The winner will be chosen at random, from the entries received in accordance with these terms, on 31 July 2020 and must provide a contact email and telephone number to claim their prize. The winner will be notified through Facebook. If the winner does not respond to Guide Dogs within 7 days of being contacted, Guide Dogs shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process above.

  8. The winner will receive a 30-minute Zoom call with one of our younger dogs in training, which will be scheduled on a date and time agreeable to both the winner and Guide Dogs. In the event either party is unable to attend the scheduled Zoom call for any reason, Guide Dogs will endeavour to reschedule the call at a future date and time agreeable to both parties. The prize is subject to availability and are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is available or offered.

  9. Events may occur that render the event itself or the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of Guide Dogs and accordingly Guide Dogs may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to Guide Dogs as a result thereof.

  10. The decision of Guide Dogs regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

  11. Guide Dogs accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault including but not limited to technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind. 

  12. The promotor of the Great Guide Dogs Virtual Tea Party is Guide Dogs for the Blind Association (“Guide Dogs”) whose registered address is Hillfields, Burghfield Common, Reading, Berkshire, RG7 3YG, a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales (291646) and a charity registered in England and Wales (209617) and Scotland (SCO38979).
