A new Government-commissioned report has revealed the extent of anti-social e-scooter riding in England.

Guide dog owner Samantha Leftwich and her mum Linda, both from Essex, turned an unfortunate situation into a positive bonding experience this October, running their own half marathon to raise money for Guide Dogs.

Guide dog owner Ben Good, from Fareham in Hampshire, has been awarded an MBE for services to people with vision impairment. Ben was awarded his MBE by His Majesty King Charles III, but the real star of the show was guide dog Stamp, who not only accompanied Ben to receive his award but licked King Charles’ hand!

Last week Guide Dogs hosted a Parliamentary event in Westminster to raise awareness of the Open Doors campaign.

We welcomed more than 2,000 guests including our Patron, HRH The Countess of Wessex, to our annual festive event, held this year at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on Thursday, 8 December.

Created in collaboration with children and adults with sight loss to make the festive season accessible for everyone.

We hear from volunteers, Ian Carnachan and Brenda Liston, on their return to volunteering in their communities after the pandemic.

Hundreds of Guide Dogs campaigners took to their local high streets to educate shops, cafés, restaurants, and other businesses and services about the access rights of assistance dog owners in support of our Open Doors campaign.
