FREE to register, this exclusive pilot event will help shape a brand-new Guide Dogs experience.
There is no fundraising target, we simply ask you raise as much as you can for people living with sight loss.

You must be 14 years old to take part in the event. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult (over 18).
Dogs are welcome to join you, but only if they are fit, healthy and able to complete the distance safely.
We allow one dog per handler and ask that all dogs remain on a fixed lead.
Working guide dogs are welcome to also take part out of harness, and so we ask that a sighted guide is arranged for support as necessary.
All event packs, including t-shirts, dog ears and race numbers will be sent out two weeks prior to the event in the post. For those who sign up after Monday 5 October, these will be available for collection in the Event Hub on the day of the event.
Registration will close once all places are filled or one week before the event, whichever comes first.
Hike the Night will take place at Dinton Pastures Country Park, Davis Street, Hurst, Wokingham, RG10 0TH.
Dinton Pastures is easily accessible by car or public transport.

If travelling by car, you can pre‑book parking for a £5 flat‑rate fee. Details will be emailed to you pre-event.
No - this is a free‑to‑register pilot event, and there is no fundraising target. We simply ask you to raise what you can to support people living with sight loss.

Comfortable walking shoes or trainers, light layers, and your Guide Dogs technical T‑shirt. Temperatures drop quickly after dark, so bring layers you can add or remove easily.
A full kit list will be provided within the event guide, and your pre-event information emails. However please note that it is mandatory to bring a head torch, fully charged mobile phone and your race number to take part.
No - this is a true night‑time experience. The route will not be lit, but it will be clearly waymarked and supported by marshals. A head torch is mandatory.
The route is a lovely off-road, traffic-free route around Dinton Pastures Country Park. The terrain is country path and is flat.
Yes. Toilets will be available at the Event Hub before and after the walk.
Yes. A supervised bag drop will be available at the Event Hub. Please bring only essential items.
Hot drinks will be available for purchase. Water stations will also be available at the finish and along the route. Snacks will also be provided at the finish. Please do bring any other refreshments with you.
No. Hike the Night is a non‑competitive event. There is no official timing.
Yes. We ask all participants to complete the 10k within 3 hours. This helps us keep everyone safe on the route and close the event on time at 10.30pm.
