Fundraise Your Way

You can choose to fundraise for us any way you like, face-to-face or virtually – here are just a few of our most popular activities to get you started.

  • Grow it for Guide Dogs

Turn your flower power into life-changing support this summer by inviting your friends and family to a sunflower growing challenge. Our step-by-step guide covers everything you need to get everyone growing and bring a little sunshine into your gardens.

Do you have a birthday or special occasion coming up? If you can’t go out and celebrate your special day in the same way as normal, it doesn’t mean you can’t make it extra special for someone with sight loss. Set up a fundraiser on Facebook and ask your friends and family to donate to Guide Dogs in lieu of gifts. Be sure to also plan a video call on the day with your loved ones for a virtual party you’ll never forget!

  • Great Guide Dogs Tea Party

Home-baked or store-bought, virtual cuppas or garden gatherings – do it your way and use your tea party to connect over your favourite brew – and cake of course! Ramp up the fun with your own Showstopper Challenge or add a fancy-dress theme everyone will love. Complete our form to get your free tea party pack including brightly coloured bunting and cake flags.

  • Quiz Night

Whether you want to support your local this summer with a pub quiz or simply want to bring friends, co-workers or your community together for a fun-filled evening of quizzing, we’ve got you covered. Our Quiz Pack is filled with everything you need from posters to ready-made rounds for your quiz master including our Celebrity Sound Round!

  • Get together for Guide Dogs

Summer’s here and it’s finally time to come together! Why not turn your garden gathering into life-changing support and host a BBQ? Instead of asking your guests to bring a dish, ask them to donate the cost of their favourite meal or takeaway.

  • Guide Dogs Virtual Collection

As we continue to keep our staff and volunteers safe and follow government guidelines, we are unable to carry out thousands of collections planned across the UK which normally equate to over £800,000 each year. You can still help make a difference though by hosting a Guide Dogs Virtual Collection. Share your collection and ask friends, family and colleagues to make a donation in lieu of loose change they would have slotted into the head of our iconic dog collection boxes in the local shop or dropped into the buckets held by our volunteers and their dogs in your local town centre. Start your own virtual collection.

  • Gaming for Good

Computer games can do good! If you or someone you know plays a lot of FIFA, Minecraft or another game, why not have a look at Tiltify to see how they can turn all that gaming into life-changing money for Guide Dogs. Take on a sponsored gaming marathon or host a tournament. Invite other gamers to take part for a donation and offer a prize for the top gamer. Don’t forget to live stream your gaming to spread the word of your fundraising.

  • Scotland's KiltWalk 2021

Save the date for the return of KiltWalk’s live event which will take place on Sunday 26 September bringing walkers together for a brilliant challenge in Glasgow! Registration will open shortly and we'd love you to join us, but in the meantime please feel free to register your interest by emailing

Every penny counts

All the money you raise will help people living with sight loss lead the life they choose. You can return your money online, through your JustGiving or Facebook page, through the post, or over the phone.
