Edinburgh Airport chooses Guide Dogs as their charity of the year
We had an incredible year-long partnership with Edinburgh Airport after staff voted for Guide Dogs as their charity of the year.
A host of fundraising activities and sponsored events to raise an incredible £25,000
Staff at Edinburgh Airport held a range of fundraising activities throughout the year including a staff awards ceremony, coffee mornings, bucket collections and a 12 Days of Christmas raffle. Staff also challenged themselves to a number of sponsored events, such as their static cycle 'from Edinburgh to Amsterdam return', where they put together a rota and worked in teams to clock up the air miles on one of their popular flight routes.
The successful partnership raised £25,000 to support our life-changing work! The staff named five new guide dog puppies through our Name a Puppy scheme; Piper, Jet, Diesel, Atlas and Golden, each with a name holding a special significance to Edinburgh Airport.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with Guide Dogs as our charity partner. The team was so passionate and enthusiastic and worked with us to come up with engaging events. Having the chance to meet guide dog owners and their dogs to hear about the difference they have made was really special and motivated the team here to dig deep and come up with new and exciting fundraising opportunities.
